The difference between the cost of money and the rate received on it.

Marketing

The proportion of the market held by a product or a business.

MBI

(Management buy in). A new management team from outside buying an existing business from the existing shareholders, often with the help of a venture capital investor.

MBO

(Management buy out). The existing management team buying a business from the current shareholders.

Megabyte (MB)

Term used to represent 1,000,000 bytes worth of information or computer memory.

A member state of the European Union.

Misrepresentation

where one party to a contract makes a false statement of fact to the other which that other person relies on. Where there has been a misrepresentation then the party who received the false statement can get damages for their loss.

Modem

Modem stands for Modulator/Demodulator. The device by which your computer 'talks' to all the other computers on the internet to receive and relay information online.
